By presenting images appropriated by, or synonymous with, controversial ideology Gekko challenges us to question our reactions to these iconic emblems...The stylistic contrast between the bleakness of the depicted object and seemingly frivolous title is  deliberate. By framing these images within the context of holiday destinations Gekko draws attention to the ridiculousness and hypocrisy displayed within our shared cultural heritage.
